Annie Howard
Natural Resources Specialist

Ms. Howard joined GSRC in 2009. Ms. Howard's background and work experience includes sea turtle rehabilitation and conservation on South Padre Island, TX. Ms. Howard was also part of a team that assessed water quality, shellfish habitat, SAV densities, and hypoxic zones in Lake Pontchartrain. Since joining GSRC, she has participated in projects relating to wetland values and ecology, wetland delineations, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, and vegetation monitoring.

Her main responsibilities include assisting with restoration planning and implementation, conducting plant and wildlife surveys, and habitat evaluations. Ms. Howard will also assist in the cataloguing and identification of cultural resources artifacts.

Ms. Howard received a Master of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans and received Bachelor of Science degrees in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Anthropology from Tulane University.
