John Ginter
Herpetologist / Wildlife Biologist

| John Ginter joined GSRC in 2009 as a Herpetologist and Wildlife Biologist. John has been involved with a wide array of biological services and tasks in many habitat types and vegetation communities throughout the southwest including extensive field experience in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. In addition to his experience in the Southwest, John also has experience with sensitive landscapes in Iowa, Ohio, New Jersey, and Florida. John has many years of experience collecting field data and writing to support a variety of agency/client documents for permitting support, including BA's, BE's, NWP's, JWD's, HMMP's, HCP's, and NPPO's. He has experience working with numerous agencies at the Federal, Tribal, State, and regional levels. John has organized and conducted field surveys for a variety of other species including talus snails, flat-tailed horned lizards, Tumamoc globeberry, Chiricahua leopard frogs, lesser long-nosed bats, Gila top minnows and other Arizona native fish species, Pima pineapple cactus, Cochise pincushion cactus, Arizona claret cup cactus, Peebles pincushion cactus, and many other plant and animal species. John has also gained considerable experience with all aspects of Jurisdictional Waters of the US and Wetlands identification and delineation.
John earned a Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Arizona in their Dept. of Renewable Natural Resources with an emphasis in taxonomy, and conservation biology.
