Stephen M. Oivanki, P.G.

| Mr. Oivanki joined GSRC in 2006. He has 14 years experience in coastal geologic research and permitting and nineteen years experience petroleum geology.
His main responsibilities include at GSRC include researching and preparing biological/environmental reports and planning and participating in field studies. Mr. Oivanki has experience working in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, California, and Arizona.
Mr. Oivanki has managed formerly served as the Coastal Ecology Division Director and Coastal Zone Manager at the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources. Mr. Oivanki provided oversight and EA-EIS review of all permits for casinos, wetlands fill, and major and minor construction projects in state tidelands. He had extensive interaction with all phases of state and federal permitting in the coastal zone and managed a staff of 15 with an annual budget of over $2 million. He has performed over 30 Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments in the Gulf Coast area subsurface soil and groundwater sampling and testing for possible site contamination.
Mr. Oivanki received a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Geology from Louisiana State University.
