Carey Lynn Perry
Natural Resources Specialist

| Ms. Perry joined GSRC in 2008. Ms. Perry’s background and work experience includes, wetland plant ecology, wetland plant identification and taxonomy, principles of wetland hydrology and hydrodynamics, wetland biogeochemistry, ecosystem restoration and monitoring techniques, habitat classification, analysis, and mapping. Since joining GSRC, she has participated in several projects relating to protected species surveys, wetland delineations, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation.
Her main responsibilities include researching and preparing NEPA documents such as Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and assisting in Section 7 consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, including the preparation of Biological Assessments. Ms. Perry has assisted in the preparation of documents in Arizona, California, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. She has also preformed field work for projects in Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas.
Ms. Perry received a Master of Science degree in Oceanography and Coastal Sciences from Louisiana State University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science from Eckerd College.
