Archaeological Laboratory Supervisor

Position Location: Baton Rouge, LA
The Laboratory Supervisor would contribute to GSRC’s growing archaeological team and assist in expanding our cultural resources management program. The Laboratory Supervisor would be responsible for managing the archaeology lab and developing and maintaining laboratory standards and guidelines. The archaeology lab receives and processes artifacts from archaeological field projects, conducts analysis of artifacts, provides treatment and stabilization to artifacts susceptible to deterioration, and prepares collections to be curated at client chosen curation facilities. The laboratory supervisor would also be responsible for contributing to technical reports by providing results and analytical discussion pertaining to laboratory analysis of archaeological materials. Other duties may include assisting background research for cultural resources projects and assisting in developing proposals, research designs, and cost estimates.
