Mr. Ortega joined GSRC in 2020. He has 3 years of experience working on various wildlife and habitat restoration projects. His past work consisted of roadside service, as well as pest control management where he experienced and gathered knowledge he needed to safely handle and use pesticides. Since joining GSRC, Mr. Ortega has had experience working on various ecological projects across California. He has conducted habitat restoration and plant management for multiple government agencies such as, Border Patrol, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. He also worked on projects involving endangered plants and wildlife, including managing thread leaf brodiaea plots, California gnatcatcher and Least Bell’s Vireo habitat restoration, and transplanting chaparral bear grass.
