
Ms. Hunt is a Registered Professional Archaeologist with over 10 years of experience. She has been involved in several archaeological projects where she has participated and/or supervised Phase I archaeological surveys, Phase II testing, Phase III data recovery, and construction monitoring in a variety of locations including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Texas. She has experience in prehistoric and historic site evaluation, excavation, artifact analysis, and report preparation. Ms. Hunt’s experience working with governmental agencies has provided her with broad knowledge of Section 106 and Section 110 compliance of the National Historic Preservation Act. In addition to cultural resource management, Ms. Hunt specializes in prehistoric and protohistoric archaeology of the southeastern United States; in particular she has experience in the Lower Mississippi Valley as well as with ceramics analysis.
Ms. Hunt meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards in Archaeology. Ms. Hunt received a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Southern Mississippi. She received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Anthropology and History from the University of Alabama.
