
Ms. Blum joined GSRC in 2025. Hailing all the way from Indiana, Ms. Blum brings over 7 years of Cultural Resources Management experience to the team. A two-time University of Indianapolis alumna, Ms. Blum received her Master of Science in Anthropology with a concentration in Bioarchaeology in 2021 and her Bachelor of Science in Archaeology in 2019. In addition to her background in Bioarchaeology, Ms. Blum’s specializes in Historical Archaeology and Eastern Woodlands Archaeology. Ms. Blum has contributed to all phases of archaeological fieldwork primarily in the Midwest and southern region, ranging from Phase Ia surveys to Phase III projects, including two cemetery relocation projects. Prior to joining GSRC, Ms. Blum was an archaeologist for the Indiana Department of Transportation, where she reviewed consultant-prepared archaeological documents for Section 106 and NEPA compliance.
Ms. Blum is also passionate about public outreach and archaeology education. She enjoys spending time with university anthropology departments and at archaeology-related events to talk with the public and/or students about what being an archaeologist is like, life after college, the job field, etc. When she is not being an archaeologist, Ms. Blum spends her free time weightlifting, reading, writing poetry, and adventuring with no destination on her motorcycle.
