Mr. Korby has over 4 years of experience working in the natural resource field specializing in education, safety compliance, ecological restoration, invasive species control, and vegetation removal. He has worked with nonprofits, government, and private contracts throughout the United States.
As an OSHA certified assistant supervisor, he was responsible for training and supervising crews of herbicide applicators to suppress invasive plants in California. His background with recycled water irrigation helped accelerate the growth of sensitive grasses and shrubs in remote habitats. Using mechanical methods he has cut and removed unwanted vegetation from mitigation areas without disturbing soil, and installed erosion control measures as needed.
As a heavy equipment operator, Mr. Korby used excavators to remove invasive species and other debris from wetland areas while keeping compliant with the Clean Water Act (CWA) and Site Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SSWPP). He is trained on construction and farm equipment in protected areas to help clients meet restoration goals for their habitats and mitigation banks.
