GSRC’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) department consists of two fulltime experienced GIS professionals supporting the organization’s cultural and natural resources departments. At GSRC we are experts in using Esri’s suite of products to accomplish specific work needs. Esri is the global market leader in GIS and provides a complete platform for our GIS professionals to customize geospatial solutions across the business. Our professionals are proficient in using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Collector, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop to support all phases of our projects from beginning to end.
Our professionals work closely with GSRC’s cultural and natural resource specialists to provide support with planning and managing GSRC’s projects. This support includes LiDAR analysis, spatial analysis, geodatabase design, data management, image interpretation and classification, modelling, georeferencing, cartography, field data collection, and metadata creation. Furthermore, our employees are knowledgeable and proficient with other GIS and GPS software such as Global Mapper, Trimble, and specialized platforms, such as GEOFidelis.
