Dennis Peters

Dennis Peters has over 39 years of marine and oceanographic experience supporting a variety of Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and commercial customers throughout the U.S. with particular focus on the greater portions of Florida, Hawaii, Central America, Bahamas, and the Caribbean Islands. Dennis has supported and prepared numerous large-scale environmental planning projects including Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), Environmental Reviews (ERs), Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) Assessments, and Biological Assessments (BAs). Mr. Peters has provided direct consultation and representation support on behalf of his clients to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Dennis has been responsible for preparing and securing Take Permits (Take Statements, Incidental Harassment Authorizations, and Letter of Authorizations) in support of military missions and commercial activities for the protection of marine mammals and sea turtles as provided by the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammal Protection Act.

Dennis received his Master of Science degree in bio-environmental oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology, and his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Lebanon Valley College.
