Eve Carter

Eve joined GSRC in 2019 as an Archaeological Field Technician with a B.A. from The University of Southern Mississippi and four years of practice in the field. She has a familiarity with prehistoric archaeology of the Lower Mississippi Valley, with training in archaeological field methods as well as cultural analysis of zooarchaeological remains and lithic artifacts. She has been involved in archaeological projects performing Phase I surveys and Phase II testing in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. Notable projects include large-scale Phase I surveys in Homochitto and Bienville National Forests in Mississippi as well as Phase II excavations for the United States Marine Corps in New Jersey and the United States Customs and Border Patrol in Texas. This experience has given her a good understanding of proper compliance practices regarding the National Historic Preservation Act.
