Marica Dasaad-Cortes joined GSRC in 2023. She has recently graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Cal State San Marcos. Through environmental internships and previous careers, Marica is constantly broadening her knowledge of plants and animals.

Since joining GSRC, Marica has had experience working on different types of ecological projects across San Diego county. Some tasks involved native plant propagation and installation, invasive species control, vegetation monitoring, and other duties as directed by project needs. She has conducted habitat restoration and plant management for multiple government agencies such as Border Patrol, USMC, and Air Force.
